It’s January 2026 and the time of year when people make changes to their life and set goals for who they want to be. For many, the focus is on progressing as individuals – maybe saving some money or losing some weight – but there’s a growing trend of people wanting to make changes for their community. “This year I’d like to give X amount to charity”, “I’d like to raise funds for my local hospital”, “I’d like to volunteer on a weekend for a sports group”…many are focusing their efforts on doing something that benefits the many and giving blood is high up on people’s lists.
The NHS has been running blood donation sessions since 1948 when the NHS was first established, and with over 11,500 NHS Blood and Transport sessions being organised each year there is now plenty of opportunity to join the ranks of the 1.7 million people giving blood each year.
Reach Conference Centre is proud to be hosting regular blood donation sessions alongside NHS Blood and Transport. For many years now we’ve offered special rates to the NHS as part of partnership programme to ensure the important work of giving blood can be done without excessive overheads on the NHS. Our main hall is the perfect space for events like this – open plan and spacious, our hall caters to those needing to create ‘breakout’ spaces for their event whilst still remaining free-flow and comfortable. For the NHS setting up, to the donators giving blood, our venue provides a relaxed, comfortable environment to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Come check us out and give blood at the same time! The NHS has a full list of blood donation slots on their website which you can find here: Home – NHS Blood Donation
